Nwoye Declares for APC Deputy National Chair, Pledges to Mobilise Southern Nigeria

Dr. Ben Nwoye, the immediate past Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, has announced his intention to contest for the position of Deputy National Chairman (South) of the party at its forthcoming national convention.

Nwoye made the declaration during a telephone interview, where he also unveiled members of his campaign structure.

According to him, Timothy Amah has been appointed as the Director-General of the campaign, while other directors have been assigned responsibilities across the six geopolitical zones.

Youth and women mobilisation teams were also constituted as part of the campaign organisation.

He stated that the campaign office for his bid has already been established in Abuja, adding that his team would work with party members and stakeholders to strengthen the APC across the country.

Nwoye said his ambition is aimed at reinforcing the party’s structure in Southern Nigeria and contributing to electoral victories for the APC in future elections.

He also called on party leaders and members to support the effort to build a strong political structure in the region.

According to him, his team will soon obtain the party’s nomination forms to formally begin the contest for the position at the national convention.

Highlighting his political experience, Nwoye noted that he has served in several leadership capacities within the APC, including as Secretary of the Forum of APC State Chairmen and as the caretaker committee chairman of the party in Enugu State.

He added that during his tenure, efforts were made to stabilise the party and manage its internal processes.

The APC is expected to hold its national convention later in the year, where members of the party’s National Working Committee will be elected
